mid-autumn festival in the middle of spring
It's Mid-Autumn Festival/中秋节/zhōngqiūjié today.
Or at least, it is in China. Here in Aotearoa, of course, it's the middle of spring.
Today, 15th day of the 8th month on the Chinese calendar, the moon is supposed to be at its biggest and roundest. It's kinda cloudy down here, so I don't think we'll be able to check on the moon's fatness today. Mooncake has been eaten, though, and my wife phoned her parents to check in with them.
